It's easy to get a little "down" in January.  The holidays are over and in many parts of the country the cold and snow can be oppressive.  We headed south for the winter leaving Illinois in late November and it seems we've been followed by rainy, cloudy days ever since.

One surefire way to overcome those cloudy days is to hop into our forums and just say "Hi" to someone. Talk about embroidery, or start a post with the letters "OT" (Off Topic) and talk about anything. Connect with others that share our hobby and have fun.

Some other ideas for cheering up a gloomy day...

Try a new flavor of hot tea

Write a note and mail it to someone you haven't said "Hi" to in years

Take a walk (weather permitting) in the morning

Find a new restaurant in your area and invite a friend to check it out with you

Volunteer at your local Ronald McDonald house

And one last idea... introduce a friend to machine embroidery!
