The ATW members who belong to "Quilters For Comfort" are heading to Kansas City starting today for the first "SewFest"!

There are carloads of quilters and embroiderers leaving today.  Some are flying and some are driving.  Those who are driving are carrying machines with them and often passengers too.

It's a week of sewing, quilting, and embroidery time.  They'll be putting together quilts for people who can use comfort at this time in their lives... abused women, children in shelters, and wounded soldiers.

Here's a post from one of the travelers today...

"Well the car is packed... I am ready as I will ever be... what ever I have forgotten I will buy there..... I posted pictures of my car... took me a good hour to pack it so nothing was left out... and everything was safe... one spot left for my suitcase.
Wish you all could be there.... we will post pictures as our week lets us...
Leaving birhgt and early Sunday morning.... Safe driving to all and see you Tuesday. -- Cathy B."
