DOWNLOADING: Downloads "HTM" File Instead Of ZIP File (0809-235)
ArtisticThreadWorks web site and software can handle thousands of user simultaneously. Someday I hope we have enough members to actually tax the system but for now, any downloading problems are definitely not caused by too many users on the site.
Downloads from the "Design Library" can only happen after you are logged in. The site will prompt you to login if you attempt to go to a page that is members only.
If that's not the problem, then before we do anything else - try a reboot of your pc. Something could be "stuck" in the RAM that needs to be cleared out.
Are you using a "download manager" program? There are various names for these programs but they are intended to automatically pick up where you left off if your download gets interrupted. They are also supposed to let you add a whole bunch of files to download then do them all at once for you. Unfortunately, there are security issues with those programs and our site protects itself from those problems by disabling their download routines. If you are using a "download manager" - please turn it off to download from our site.
Finally, if that doesn't fix the problem, did you add any new software recently? Some programs, especially anti-virus and firewall programs can play havoc with your computer's ability to download stuff. If you have added Norton Internet Security, you will need to configure it to accept our web site as "safe" or turn off that program while you are on our site.
If you still can't download, please contact us directly via email and include the name of the design(s) you were trying to download when you had the problem.
