I am new here. I am from Alabama. I have a Brother Duetta 4500D Disney special edition machine. I am looking to buy either a Brother PR1000e or a Babylock Enterprise. I would love to hear from anyone that has either of these machines. I have found that even if you buy an embroidery machine just to doll up your own and your childrens clothes you somehow end up making a cottage industry business out of it once your friends and family find out you do this. So I have decided since I do my own art work, digitizing with PED8 and embroidery and people say they like it... why not give it a try on a new level. I am looking forward to learning many new things on here. Have a blessed day.

Lower state near Gulf Shores. Have you ever done any of the Martha Pullen stuff since you are so close to her? I would love to go to one of her serger classes. I have had my serger for almost 2 years and have not even touched it. It is such an intimidating thing to look at. :)

No I haven't taken any of Martha Pullen classes yet. My son and daughter-i-law only live 3 miles from her store on hwy 431 in hampton cove, al.But I have a sweet deal from a lady whose daughter wanting horseback ride lessons so my husband has been teaching her to ride she serviced both my Bernina sewing machine (had for 35 years) and my Bernina serger (at no charge). This lady was a Bernina sewing instructor for many years and has been giving me lessons on the serger and sewing machine for free (i didn't realize my machines could do so much)Guess you call this bartering whch works fine with me.

Welcome and hope you learn a lot here. Yes, it's amazing how fast this hobby can turn into a business. LOL! We had a couple weeks of "hobby" and suddenly we had a business.
