Making Embroidered Gift Tags

Embroidered Gift Tags... another fun embroidery project from Holly!
Maybe you've already started making your own embroidered Greeting Cards or embroidered Christmas Cards and now you're wondering "What's next?" Well, here's Holly's latest project, embroidered Gift Tags!
These designs were made to sew out well on card stock. That is a very heavy-weight paper available in hobby stores (think scrap-booking stores, JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart craft department) or in office supply stores. The craft stores will simply call this paper "Card Stock" and will have it in a good variety of colors and sizes. Office supply stores will call it "65 pound" or "80 pound" paper. Either one works well.
These designs all end with a stitched border around the "from/to" and the graphic area. The stitched border allows you to slip a second piece of paper under your hoop and have it stitch to the back, covering the back of all the stitches in the middle, showing only the outline of the card that you can then use as a scissor-guide as you trim away the excess.
Holly has made a video showing how this is done. In the video, she is using a PR-600 machine but this can be done on any home machine as well. In fact, it's a little easier with the home machine since you don't have to hold the bottom paper in place while you start the stitches for the last step. Here's the video...
These gift tags were all designed for a 4x4 hoop, but if you have a larger hoop that you can use, Holly has also combined the designs into multiple-tag-stitchouts. In other words, you will find files the will stitch out 2 tags at the same time inside a 5x7 hoop. This will make it faster to stitch out gift tags if you have a lot of gifts you want to use these on, or in case you want to stitch up a bunch of these and take them with you to a Holiday Craft Show in your area. She has also included multi-tag stitch files for LARGE hoops that will stitch out 4 tags at the same time.
