QUESTIONS ABOUT DOWNLOADING EMBROIDERY DESIGNS
To download an embroidery design set from the web, you normally click on the "download link". It usually says something like "DOWNLOAD ALL FORMATS HERE" on our website. Other websites may use other words, but the process is the same. Click the download link and your web browser will open a small window asking what you want to do with the file. Choose SAVE and then direct the saved file to go to your hard drive. Do NOT try to download files to a CD, a floppy disk, a flash drive, or anything other than your hard drive.
Save the download to a place where you can find it again in a minute or two in the next step. Usually people will create a folder on their computer in their "My Documents" area called "Embroidery Designs". If you have another place folder name, that's okay, so long as you can get to it again.
Sometimes people will do a download and then will be unable to find the file they have downloaded. This usually happens either because the person is not familiar with how to find things on their computer in general, or because someone else has used their computer ( often the grand-children :-) and saved a file to a different location from where the computer owner normally saves files and now the owner can't find where their files are being saved to. If you need help with finding lost files, take a look in the members TUTORIALS area on our website under "COMPUTERS" and you'll find help with the basics of finding lost files.
You can see a video of this process by visiting our "TOUR" section and choosing the video "HOW TO DOWNLOAD DESIGNS" here...
