NO PERSONAL ADS FOR SOFTWARE

If you are an individual and have a software program you no longer want there is a very good possibility that you are not allowed to re-sell that software.  If you do then the buyer of the program cannot register it or activate it on their computer.  For this reason we do not allow software to be sold through the Daily News UNLESS you are a dealer for the software program.

I THINK the maximum number of characters allowed in the URL for your ad is 50.   (I will check on that number to see if it is accurate and whatever the number is see if it can be increased.  Bit if you are trying to upload a very long URL it will truncate and produce the error message shown here...

  For example...

http://www.artisticthreadworks.com/new-fairy-in-the-swamp-designs-released-02-28-2010.html

http://www.artisticthreadworks.com/new-fairy-in-the-swamp-designs-released-02-28-2010-and-left-out-to-dry-in-the-sunlight.html

...is too long to fit.  Try shortening your URL and upload your ads.  You can shorten long URL's by using www.tinyurl.com or you can produce shorter file names when you FTP new pages to your site.
