UPDATE 9/15/09 

Every morning one of our team members removes a couple ads because the person posting them missed following one of our posting rules.  The two most common rules missed are #1 and #8.  Here's the short version of what those two rules are about...

#1) Ads must be uploaded BEFORE the day the ad runs

#8) Your business name MUST show in your ad title line.

People miss rule #1 because they try to time it to post their ad as close to midnight as possible in order to have their ad at the top of the next day's listings and then get caught by the "Rule #1 gotcha".  It's better to have an ad somewhere on the page so I post mine for a week at a time and don't worry about where on the page it is placed.  If you stay up until nearly midnight to place ads in order to get near the top, then more power to you, but don't be surprised if your ad strays into the next day's posts occaisionally and is deleted.

I often miss Rule #8 when posting my own ads.  It just slips my mind.  Or maybe I'm so focused on my ad, the graphics, etc., that I forget to tell our readers who the ad is from.  If I catch the mistake in time I can edit my TITLE line and get my name in there.  The rest of the time, my ad dissapears like magic in the morning.  Probably the best way to prevent that is to have a place on my computer where I save my own ads and recycle them INCLUDING the TITLE line where my company name (initials) is included.
