A "Potpourri" Of Articles
Websters says "Potpourri" (Pronunciation "poh-poo-ree, poh-poo-ree") is "any mixture, esp. of unrelated objects, subjects, etc."
Sometimes an article doesn't fit into "Embroidery", "Quilting", "Digitizing", "Computers" or any other area of our site, yet it's still something you'll enjoy reading. And that's what this area is for... a "Catchall" of stories, articles, and fun! They're fun, interesting, weird, educational, or whatever... but they're just not all related except in one thing... I thought YOU would like to see them.
Have fun with the potpourri section!

What Is The New "Member-To-Member Designs" Section Of ATW All About?
We have set up a new service on ATW for members called "Member-To-Member Designs". You'll find a link to the new service on our top menu bar where it shows up as "M2M".
This is an area on ATW where members who digitize can upload designs they want to give away to other members. Our server will store the zip file and the picture for you and provide a download link to the design.
For Fun, For Practice, For Profit
You may be posting designs here because you digitize for fun. If so, that's great and you're invited to post your designs here any time! You may be posting designs here because you are practicing digitizing and intend to eventually start your own website or sell your designs on other sites. If so, that's great too and you're invited to post your designs here any time! Ask for specific feedback if you'd like. Our members will be happy to tell you anything they can if you ask. You may be posting designs here because you already have a website up and running where you sell designs. Posting a few freebies here will bring people to your site to buy your for-sale designs. If so, that's great too and you're invited to include a link to your website in the post along with the freebie. Hint: It's most effective if you can post a link directly to the exact page on your site where the set of designs this sample came from is for sale. . . . Continue...

Our members can download the designs displayed in the showcase for free over the next couple weeks. After the free period is over, they will be available in our store. So if you're a member while they are available, be sure you download them right away. . . . Continue...

Memorize This... "F-A-S-T"
In December my dad had a stroke. He's okay, or at least as okay as he's going to be for now at 87 years old and had a hard life in some ways. The point of this post is that everyone should be aware of how to identify when a person has had a stroke and what to do about it . . . Continue...
