I retired last February 1 st 2012 following an interesting and at times exciting 48.5 year military and commercial aviation career. I love machines and my bones are sore from jumping around aircraft, so I now collect sewing machines I have both vintage and new. I also have a 5 thread serger, and a Brother Innov-is 2800D embroidery/sewing machine. I have been also interested in sharing my experience as I learn each machine and special craft connected with sewing and embroidery, including digitizing. My collection of digitizing includes, Generations 1.5; Wilcom's Deco Studi:e2 and Brother PE Design Next. I am now looking to purchase from ArtisticThreadWorks.com the Pattern Maker/Me; if it will work with my Brother Innov-is 2800D which uses either, .PES or DST formats. Also if it will work with my windows 7 (64-bit) operating system, and the several thread systems that my machine calls out when I input an embroidery design. If I am allow to, I can give my YouTube sewing/embroidery machine list of videos, I have 204, 15 minutes and longer.http://www.youtube.com/user/vincea51?feature=mhee Yes ... I am a windbag also ... a nice one though. Vince J. Arcuri

Blessings and Welcome from a daughter who was a total Pratt Brat! God rest his soul my Dad went to the US Air Corps and then came out USAF... went on the GI bill to Embry Riddle down in Homestead FL and back to CT to elope with my Mom and move to FL to work with Pratt in their West Palm Beach facility as a design engineer. It was the only job my Dad had and his only employer.
You will love it here and expand on what you know and... probably be jumping in to help some of the other newbies out in no time at all! Larry and Holly have made a wonderful and informative place for learning the embroidery craft be it a hobby or a small home business. Some have moved on to small shops. Enjoy your journey here at ATW!

So your the Embroidery Mommy.
You know, one of my addictions is "trying to digitize my own embroidery designs" I have several programs so far and have been trying to make video's on my interests so other, perhaps, can learn something form me by watching my mistakes and how I work around them: P.S. I was stationed in Myrtle Beach, AFB SC back in the early 60's. Here are some of my learning video's if you care to get bored. ...http://www.youtube.com/user/vincea51?feature=mhee

GOSH you said you wanna learn to digitize? You have the queen of Digitizing here at ATW through Holly... you most certainly have to hook up with them and see when they will be in your neck of the woods. Before my stroke I had hoped to learn... now it is clear that I will simply enjoy!
Trust me Holly and Larry are the heartbeat of the ATW family AFTER GOD! I must say that... because it was one of the reasons I chose to learn my craft/hobby/small biz here. You must read about how they found their way to being here!
Again WELCOME!
